The Alexandra Magistrates’ Court has postponed the attempted murder case against Bellermine Chatunga Mugabe and his co-accused.
The postponement allows the State to provide confirmatory documents from the Department of Home Affairs. It also gives the defence time to obtain further instructions from the accused.

The case against Mugabe and Matonhodze was before the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.
The State requested a postponement to secure documentary evidence from the Department of Home Affairs. In addition, the defence indicated it needed further consultation time with the accused.
The court granted the postponement. The matter is scheduled to resume on Thursday morning, 05 March 2026.

- One accused allegedly took a remote control, returned to the property, and closed the gate
- A neighbouring security guard reportedly alerted police after noticing the complainant
