The Diniso family is seeking justice for the tragic death of their 17-year-old son, Kamva, who was brutally beaten to death in a case of mistaken identity.
According to friends, Kamva had told them he was heading to his girlfriend’s house in the same area after a night of socializing over the weekend. However, it is believed that he may have fallen asleep, assuming he was at his own home, and was found near the wall of a neighboring house.
Tragically, the residents of that house mistook Kamva for a thief attempting to steal their sheep and beat him to death.
Kamva was a grade 10 student at Joyi SSS in Mthatha. Despite the ongoing police investigation, no arrests have been made yet. The family and community are calling for justice and urging the authorities to identify and prosecute those responsible for Kamva’s senseless killing.
