Five suspected drug dealers were arrested in eThekwini, KwaZulu-Natal, during a police-led operation on Friday, 19 December 2025.

According to SAPS, the suspects — aged between 20 and 35 — were taken into custody following an intelligence-driven raid targeting drug-related crime across various Durban areas.

Police also recovered an undisclosed quantity of narcotics during the operation.

Official Response

The South African Police Service said the arrests form part of a broader crackdown on drug distribution in the province.

“All five suspects are expected to appear in court on Monday, 22 December 2025,” SAPS confirmed.

The bust is one of several operations carried out in the run-up to the festive season.
