The Team of Choice has taken control of their fate in the PSL promotion playoffs as they cruised to a 2- 0 against struggling Casric Starts on Wednesday evening, May 31, 2023. The boys from Maritzburg are currently seated at the top of the log on goal difference, as they are tied on three points with Cape Town’s Spurs, who also collected full points against Casric Stars.
The four-team log is set to finish on June 14, with Maritzburg United set to face off against the Urban Warriors on home turf at the Harry Gwala Stadium. This match could be a decider for who will be playing in the South African elite football league, the Dstv Premiership, next season, and who will be sent to the first division.
This Saturday, the Urban Warriors will test the will of the Team of Choice at Athlone Stadium in the mother city at 15:00 on June 3. Other fixtures are as follows;
