This barbaric act happened last Saturday night and according to report provided by the district, Mvoko’s remains were discovered in the boot of her car wrapped in plastics and a blanket parked near Mbodleni primary school.

A case of murder with an additional charge of defeating the ends of justice has been opened with the SAPS.  MEC Gade calls upon the society of the province to help protect educators who help plough the seed of development in society.

“My condolences to the Mvoko family, her colleagues and the entire education sector. This is a setback to our plans of improving the performance of this province.  I urge all community members to work with the police and report the culprits who committed this barbaric act.  We shall not rest until killers of this protagonist are brought to book and face the wrath of the law”, said Gade.

The Alfred Ndzo East education held a memorial service Thursday, March 2nd, 2023 and she will be laid to rest this weekend in her hometown of Matatiele.

According to police spokesperson, Captain Majola Nkohli, the accused, Sibusiso Dlamini, was denied bail and remanded in custody.
