The Betusile Mcinga Foundation and Nkokheli ‘Volo Da Saint’ Twabu held a charity drive at Vukuzenzele Special School where they gave away hygiene kits to the learners on Wednesday.
This follows after Betusile saw a video posted on Facebook by one of the Vukuzenzele teachers, Miss Mbotho and he contacted the teacher saying that he would like to come to the school to give the children something.
Stating the purpose of the day and expressing his gratitude to Betusile, Mr M. H. Ncamani, Vukuzenzele principal also mentioned that their learners are hard workers and they obtained 83% pass rate last year and 100% on 2020 with 83% of bachelor passes and when it comes to extra mural activities they give their all and they are very gifted, as there are some learners that are going to Gauteng for National games in December. Some learners who will be going to Cape Town next year to play football.
Making his speech, Betusile Mcinga said the main reason of the charity drive is not only to give but it is to encourage the learners to shine even brighter.
“Never let your background or the way you look or the way you are determine your future. No matter how different you may think you are from other children, but God loves us all, and God has plans for us all, plans to prosper as stated on Jeremiah.” said Mcinga
He promised that his foundation will pay the school another visit next year since it has a campaign that the school can benefit from.
