Families affected by recent disasters in the Eastern Cape are receiving a much-needed boost as government bodies and humanitarian partners unite once again to deliver aid.

The Provincial Disaster Management, OR Tambo District Municipality, Kumkani Mhlontlo Local Municipality, and the Department of Social Development have come together for the fourth time to bring relief to local communities. Their combined efforts, strengthened by contributions from ESKOM and the Red Cross, are helping restore dignity and hope for those who have suffered losses.

On Wednesday, 93 residents gathered at the Tsolo Town Hall to collect essential supplies and assistance. A further 101 beneficiaries are set to receive support on Thursday at 10:00 in Qumbu, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Officials say the initiative reflects their ongoing commitment to being present in times of crisis. “Our people’s well-being is our responsibility, and together we will continue to restore hope where it is needed most,” they affirmed.
