The donation, made up of 15 pairs for girls and 16 pairs for boys, aims to ensure that every learner can walk to school with dignity and confidence. Along with the shoes, each learner received personal care items to promote good hygiene and wellbeing.

Speaking at the handover, municipal representatives said the gesture was about more than just meeting physical needs — it was about making sure every child feels equal and included in the classroom. “When a learner is comfortable, they can focus on their studies without worrying about what they lack,” one official noted.
