The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that Royal AM Football Club will not participate in the 2025 Nedbank Cup, following a decision made by the National Soccer League (NSL) Executive Committee.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the PSL announced that the Executive Committee had reviewed additional representations from Royal AM’s management and the appointed Curator. After careful consideration, the committee, along with Royal AM and the Curator, agreed that the club would withdraw from the competition due to time constraints.

As a result, the Nedbank Cup fixture between Milford FC and Sekhukhune United, originally affected by Royal AM’s situation, has now been scheduled for Sunday, 2 March 2025, at 15:00. The match will take place at Princess Magogo Stadium.

The PSL has assured fans that ticketing details for the fixture will be confirmed in due course.

Royal AM’s withdrawal raises further questions about the club’s ongoing financial and administrative challenges. The team’s future in domestic competitions remains uncertain as it continues to navigate its current difficulties.
