The South Coast mother who home-schools her children aged two, seven and nine, said she used the Pick n Pay asap! app at least three to four times a week. “I run a home industry small business from home so I had ordered smarties, chocolates, ice-cream and the usual milk and bread,” said the 36-year-old, who uses baking as her relaxation from doing the housework and caring for her brood.

“Since I told the kids about the campaign, Yahya has been fetching the groceries and unpacking them, so he found the leaflet stating that we had won R100 000, and told me we had won. I thought it was a promotional leaflet until the kids took the bunny out of another bag and I realised it was true.”

The excitement ran high in the Moolla household for the remainder of the day. “They have been attacking me all morning and have already decided how we will spend the money.” The family, with father Ahmed, will enjoy a holiday together. “Mostly we will spend the money on the kids, and I believe charity begins at home so we will start with those around us.”

“Thank you so much Pick n Pay, you have made my year, and thanks for making my kids so happy – the looks on their faces when they found the bunny were priceless,” Moolla said.

To win, all shoppers have to do is place an order on the Pick n Pay asap! app, and if the bunny is hiding among their groceries, they’ve won R100 000.
