Young boxer raising the bar

The 19 year old boxer could see herself changing her home background through boxing sport. Naledi Mgcwaba is a promising young boxer who has consistently shown dedication and talent in boxing sport.

Naledi comes from one of the rural areas in Mount Ayliff called eMmangweni village at Cabazana location, she started playing boxing sport when she was only 13 years old. Her dream is to become a professional boxer one day so she can take care of her mother and family.

Recently she won a gold medal at the SADF boxing awareness tournament and SADF members were impressed by her talent and dedication hence they took her detail, qualifications and CV with the hope of getting her into SADF.

“I love this boxing sport and one day I really wish I can be a professional boxer and fight huge fights, even though I never taught of becoming a soldier but i would be happy if I can get the job so I can support my family” said Mgcwaba
