You are never too young to lend a helping hand

Date:

A young man from kwa-Jali ward 6 under the Winnie Madikizela Mandela Municipality local Municipality was moved by the living conditions of a family in her community. Sabelo Mdlaka says he was told by his mother that a lady from his community lost her job and could no longer afford to buy groceries for herself and her two boys. The young man then told his friend Thabani Machopha about the situation of this family then they decided to lend a helping hand by buying groceries for the family.

Sabelo Mdlaka and Thabani Machopha say that they want to continue helping where they can because they both believe if you have something you could always share with the next person who’s less privileged than you are. They say helping people is never about having a lot of money, it is only about having a willingness to give.

“I have been helping a number of people in need, some send me direct messages on Facebook and I assist maybe with clothes I do not wear anymore that are still in  a good condition and some, I buy uniform, I don’t do this because I have a lot of money but I do it because I know exactly what if feels like to be in a situation of needing because I come from a very poor background” Thabani Machopha

Sabelo Mdlaka (21) is currently doing grade 12 at Ntukayi senior secondary school and runs a photography business during his free time he says he want to help as many people as he could and he expects nothing from them because he believes everyone deserves to have a better life.

The two young men are both in the business of photography using iPhones they say more people can lend a helping hand because there are many families that are living in despicable conditions that could use a helping hand.
