Wild Coast Funk: Six Years of Groove, Creativity, and Community Connection

Date:

In the realm of entertainment and community building, Wild Coast Funk marks six years of not just hosting events but crafting immersive experiences. More than a mere groove, the essence of Wild Coast Funk lies in fostering connections, conversations, and a culture of forward-thinking individuals with visions set for 2050.

At the helm of Wild Coast Funk are visionaries like Joe Mhlongo (Joe De DJ), Sibonelo Mjwara (DJ MELOW), and the mastermind behind the entire experience, Simphiwe Ncanga, known by his stage name Jus Cmpiwe. Since its inception in 2016, Wild Coast Funk has collaborated with diverse figures in both business and the entertainment industry, creating a fusion of beats and business.

The most recent collaboration with Phelokazi Mhlongo brought forth artists such as Zakwe, Dunkan, Happy girl, and West-behavior, elevating the event to new heights.

The ethos of Wild Coast Funk endured a shift to survival mode during the challenging times of the Covid era. While isolation and quarantining became the norm, Wild Coast Funk embraced digital platforms, using them not just to connect with its audience but also to curate and share music. Jus Cmpiwe emphasizes that this December, Wild Coast Funk will make a triumphant return, reintroducing itself with an infusion of fresh talent and creative minds to captivate its steadfast supporters.

“It’s not just about entertainment or groove; it’s about the people, the lifestyle, and bringing the city to the people,” shares Jus Cmpiwe. The essence of Wild Coast Funk goes beyond a mere event—it’s a platform that encourages individuals to recognize their creative potential. Jus Cmpiwe notes,

We give creatives a platform to sharpen their skills without any expectations except boosting the confidence people have in their God-given talents.

As Wild Coast Funk gears up for its December revival, the anticipation is not just for another event but for a continuation of a movement that celebrates creativity, community, and the limitless potential within each individual.
