With a background steeped in pageantry and a deep-seated passion for making a difference, Thole's journey reflects a commitment to leveraging his platform to inspire and educate. From his early days in Sunday school to his university years, Thole's life has been intertwined with pageantry. His participation in the Mr South Africa competition is not just a personal endeavor but a means to drive motivation and create a platform for young stars to have a voice. "I've always known that one day I would like to go on a big stage," says Thole. "Now, I believe it's the right time for me to drive motivation to all young stars and create a platform to reach out to a larger number of young people with the aim to motivate and educate." For Thole, the issue of domestic violence hits close to home, particularly as he hails from the Eastern Cape, where it remains a pervasive concern. Recognizing the urgent need to address this silent pandemic, Thole is determined to break the stigma of silence surrounding victims and provide them with the support they desperately need. "Domestic violence is a huge issue that needs to be addressed," affirms Thole. "My duty is to raise awareness and work closely with relevant departments to ensure that victims have access to support centers and the necessary resources." His dream is to give people a platform where they can learn to defend themselves, both physically and emotionally, through defense classes and access to therapy. "I would love to see less domestic violence cases," shares Thole. "There are so many factors in this topic that are avoided, resulting in the same results over and over again." As Thole continues his journey in the Mr South Africa competition, he calls upon the public to support his cause. Through votes and engagement on social media platforms, Thole aims to amplify his message and garner widespread support for his mission to combat domestic violence. "To have this opportunity, I need votes," emphasizes Thole. "Having more followers and support on social media will play a crucial role in spreading awareness and driving meaningful change."
