“I am proud of the effort from the boys. We have been consistent in winning our matches, and although this one was decided on penalties, they showed great character,” he said.

Team captain Awonke Ngoneni welcomed the result but admitted he hoped for a win in regulation time.

“I’m happy we won, but I hoped we could settle it without penalties,” he said, adding that he draws inspiration from Orlando Pirates midfielder Mike Kamogelo Sebelebele, whom he considers his role model
