Millions of South Africans who rely on social grants can now plan ahead after the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) confirmed the official payment dates for July 2026.

What Happened?

SASSA has announced the payment schedule for July 2026. As with previous months, payments will be made over three separate days to reduce congestion at pay points, retailers and ATMs.

July 2026 SASSA Payment Dates

Grant Type Payment Date
Older Persons Grant 2 July 2026
Disability Grant 3 July 2026
Children’s Grants 6 July 2026

Who Is Affected?

The payment schedule applies to beneficiaries receiving:

  • Older Persons Grants
  • Disability Grants
  • Child Support Grants
  • Foster Child Grants
  • Care Dependency Grants
  • War Veterans Grants

The SRD R370 Grant follows a separate payment process and beneficiaries should check their individual payment status online.

  • Older Persons Grant (60–74): R2,400

Beneficiaries are urged to use only official SASSA platforms when checking payment information and to avoid sharing banking details or OTP codes with unknown individuals.
