  • Being rooted among the people, representing their interests, concerns and aspirations, transforming society and developing every community;
  • Maintaining a vibrant internal democracy in the ANC and supporting the principle and practice of collective leadership;
  • Readiness and willingness of our members to serve, and make sacrifices in pursuit of the cause of the people as a whole;
  • Readiness to acknowledge and decisively address our weaknesses in order to accelerate the people’s struggle;
  • Increasing our capacity to plan, coordinate and monitor and evaluate the implementation of policies, and the impact on the people and society.
  • Upholding and building unity across all sections of South Africans and progressive forces in the world in pursuit of the cause of humanity.

As the ANCYL we must make it our mission to make the ANC in our branches to account on it’s position; on the above commitments.

This will not only require diplomatic approach but a bit of a militant type of an approach.

For us as the ANCYL it is not only about short term but more of Long Term, we view that this year -2022 and 2023 are the years in which we must build up for the 2024 National elections for an overwhelming majority win of the ANC to occupy Government.

Furthermore, we must as the young lions begin to educate our constituency about the role of the African National Congress as a leader of the society within these lines – we must not be ambitious or leave any gray lines in giving them a proper political education. That in itself we will be reinforce our mission and further put emphasis on what a Cde must do on the ground.

It is the mission of young people of the ANC to learn, educate and fight for the glorious movement to mobilise and lead the motive forces and society; our organisational work has to focuse more on mobilising members of the society behind the African National Congress.

The African National Congress must be grounded on the core tasks of representing and mobilising our communities and delivering development and transformation to the people.
