Umzimvubu Local Municipality is saddened by the untimely death of Nkosi Nokhwezi Makaula who passed away on, 23rd August 2021. The Municipal Council has been dispossessed from yet another community leader. Nkosi Makuala who was the head of the Makaula Traditional Authority is said to have succumbed to a short illness.

“On behalf of Umzimvubu Local Municipality, please allow me to extend my sincere condolences to the Makaula family. I pray that they too shall be granted strength to overcome this great loss” concluded Cllr Ngonyolo.
The family is yet to make an official announcement on her burial arrangements.
