KwaNontsomi Enterprise in King William’s Town received a panel van and sound equipment worth more than R1.4 million on Monday through the Isiqalo Youth Fund. The support represents a major step for young creators in Sweet Waters as the Eastern Cape government continues expanding opportunities for youth-owned businesses.
What Happened
KwaNontsomi Enterprise (Pty) Ltd, a company specialising in DVD production and visual media, secured new equipment aimed at boosting its production capacity. The package includes a fully equipped panel van and professional sound tools, enabling the team to streamline operations and expand its reach.
Director Ntsikelelo Mavata welcomed the development, saying the investment brings them closer to competing at the highest level in the province’s growing creative sector.
“This support will help us improve our service offering and move closer to our goal of becoming one of the most thriving audio-visual companies in the Eastern Cape’s creative ecosystem,” he said.

Buffalo City Executive Mayor Princess Faku, speaking on behalf of Premier Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane, reaffirmed the province’s growing commitment to young entrepreneurs. She said the initiative supports the government’s plan to strengthen the creative economy while giving youth-owned businesses the tools they need to thrive.
The Isiqalo Youth Fund continues to expand its reach by offering infrastructure, equipment, and financial support to small enterprises across the Eastern Cape.
