Mamelodi Sundowns and Head Coach Rhulani Mokwena have reached an amicable agreement to end Mokwena’s tenure with the club. Sundowns expressed its gratitude to Mokwena for his significant contributions to the club’s successes and achievements during his time as Head Coach.

In a statement, Sundowns emphasized that Rhulani Mokwena will always be considered part of the Mamelodi Sundowns family and wished him the best in his future endeavors. The decision to part ways was made by the Board, based on the club’s objectives and expectations, and was not influenced by any individual recommendations.

Sundowns reaffirmed its commitment to the development and growth of South African coaches and players. Moving forward, Coach Manqoba Mngqithi and the Technical Team will continue to lead and prepare the players for the upcoming season.

As Mamelodi Sudowns prepares for future competitions, the club is honored to be one of four African teams representing the continent in the historic FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
