The Department of Tourism bursary 2026 applications are now open for South African students. The closing date is 20 March 2026.
As of February 2026, students studying approved diploma, degree, honours, master’s or PhD programmes can apply.
What is happening?
The Department of Tourism is offering external bursaries for the 2026 academic year.
The bursary is available to South African students studying in approved fields, including tourism, finance, IT, law and data-related disciplines.
Successful candidates will receive funding for the remainder of their approved study period. The award is renewable annually, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
Applications must be submitted by 20 March 2026.
