What Happened

The session drew residents from across Ward 25, giving them access to key government services and information under one roof.
Several departments and entities participated, including DEDEAT, SAPS, IEC, SASSA, the Department of Agriculture, and ANDM’s Planning and Economic Development unit.
The programme also encouraged residents to register early for the 2026 elections, reinforcing that voter participation remains central to shaping a responsive municipality.

Official Response

Council Whip Cllr. N. Ndabeni said the engagement focused on service delivery, community education, and integrating public voices into constituency work.
“Our responsibility is to ensure people understand the services available to them, but also to remind them that their vote is their power. Active participation builds an accountable and inclusive district,” she said.

Community Impact

Residents welcomed the direct access to services, noting that such engagements ease everyday challenges and reduce travel costs.
Stakeholders agreed that early voter mobilisation and stronger interdepartmental cooperation will improve how services reach rural communities. The programme will continue rolling out in other wards throughout the district.
