On Monday afternoon, 26 September 2022, a 10- year-old boy was mauled to death in Gelvandale, Gqeberha by two family pitbulls.
Reports state that around 13:15 police were alerted of the incident, on arrival they were left with no choice but to shoot the two pitbulls.
“It is further alleged that Storm Naku (deceased) and two other children were in the house with the dogs. At this stage, it is unclear what had happened when the two dogs turned on the boy. He succumbed his injuries at the scene” said Col. Pricilla Naidu.
The two other children the victim was with in the house were found unharmed.
“An inquest docket will be opened further investigations”.
