The broadcaster said the decision followed a strategic review of its schedule in a changing TV landscape. “We believe that Scandal! has reached the end of its life cycle,” the channel said.

Since its debut, Scandal! became a household name, known for muscular storylines and memorable characters. The series earned multiple SAFTA wins and consistently ranked among South Africa’s most-watched soap operas. It is produced by Ochre Moving Pictures, whose executive producer Stan Joseph called the run “an incredible journey and a true labour of love,” paying tribute to the writers, directors, actors and crew “who poured their hearts into bringing authentic South African stories to life,” and thanking viewers for their loyalty.
