Lusikisiki- born Fashion designer Noluthando Ngoqo is set to host her 1st Fashion Show which is meant to launch the Amampondo Exclusive Apparel on 16 September 2023.
The BossladyTee and Amampondo Exclusive owner saw the gap as how Amampondo tend to ignore their traditional attire and end up using other cultures’ wear because of how they use the old-fashioned styles.
“As a fashion designer, it’s where I decided to introduce the modern style where as a youth we won’t be lazy to wear our culture. For instance, there’s a T-shirt that you can wear with your fleece on and attend your traditional event as the fabric has ifelani lines,” she explains.
Noluthando is someone who takes criticism seriously, she usually uses her social media to tell people where she comes from and that not everything in life comes on a silver platter.
Knowing that life is hard for you to be somewhere you need to push to do better and being a fashion designer you can be anything you want.
“By this event, I hope the youth will come through to gain knowledge about being a designer and the industry itself,” she concludes.
