The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Professor Blade Nzimande, announced the dissolution of the NSFAS Board with immediate effect. This decision was communicated during a meeting held earlier today between the Minister and the Board.
The Minister emphasized that this step was taken to ensure NSFAS remains aligned with its core mandate of providing financial assistance to deserving students across South Africa. Following the dissolution of the Board, the institution has been placed under administration, marking a significant development in its governance structure.
