The BBL is the fastest-growing cosmetic surgery in the world and it has made its way to South Africa despite the mounting number of deaths resulting from the procedure. Brazilian butt lift, known as a BBL, is a surgical procedure in which fat is removed from various parts of the body and then injected back into the buttocks.
BBL’s popularity and the body type it promises reached US and global popular cultures by the late 1990s and early 2000s.
