Learners at Ingele Primary School in Ward 2 under the Winnie Madikizela Mandela Local Municipality in Bizana gained first-hand access to career advice and information on educational opportunities during a Youth Month Career Expo focused on shaping brighter futures for young people.
The event, hosted by Inkosi uGcinizulu and supported by Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality and various government stakeholders, brought together institutions of higher learning, government departments and law enforcement agencies to engage directly with learners about their future prospects.

Representatives from Walter Sisulu University, Ingwe TVET College, the Hawks, Alfred Nzo District Municipality, the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, and the Eastern Cape Department of Transport provided information on study programmes, bursaries, internships, learnerships and career pathways available to young people.
Among the dignitaries attending the programme were Eastern Cape MEC for Agriculture, Nonceba Kontsiwe, and Alfred Nzo District Municipality Executive Mayor Tsileng Sobuthongo. Both leaders encouraged learners to remain committed to their education, believe in their abilities and pursue opportunities that can help them achieve their goals.

The Career Expo created a platform for learners to interact directly with higher education institutions and government departments, giving them access to information that may influence their future academic and career choices.
