The Umzimvubu Local Municipality held a memorial service on 28 November 2025 for the late Mr Loyiso Mnyaka. The event took place at the EmaXesibeni Multi-Purpose Centre, where colleagues, councilors, and family members gathered to honour his 16 years of dedicated service.
A respected leader remembered
Mr Mnyaka served as an Assistant Superintendent, a role he carried out with humility and discipline. Speakers described him as a committed public servant who consistently put community needs first.
Beyond his municipal duties, he played an active role in youth development.
He supported local soccer clubs and community groups that used sport to uplift young people and keep them engaged.
Community mourns a man of service
Attendees emphasized on his calm leadership, reliability, and deep connection to residents.
His colleagues said he was more than a co-worker, he was a mentor and a steady presence in the workplace.
