The Executive Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay, Mayor Babalwa Lobishe, attended the Association of Southern African Schools and Departments of Public Administration and Management (ASSADPAM) Conference at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Gqeberha on 05 November 2025 as the guest of honour. The event focused on building stronger partnerships to enhance public service delivery and strengthen institutional capacity.

What Happened

The Association of Southern African Schools and Departments of Public Administration and Management (ASSADPAM) hosted the gathering to promote collaboration among government leaders, academics, and communities. Delegates shared ideas on creating responsive, ethical, and people-centred governance systems.

Mayor’s Remarks

Mayor Lobishe said capable and well-trained public servants are vital for effective governance. “Good governance starts with skilled, ethical, and people-focused leadership, we must work together to build institutions that serve our communities with excellence,” she said.
