on 27 October 2025: Alfred Nzo District’s Mayor, Councilor Siyabulela Zangqa, met with police, the Department of Social Development, youth groups, school leaders, and local government officials to strengthen the search for missing 19-year-old learner, Linamandla Buhle Xhosana. She disappeared on 13 October 2025 from Ngcobo Village Senior Secondary School. Authorities and the community are racing to find her.
What Happened?
Linamandla was last seen at school, SAPS, community search teams, and volunteers have been combing the area. The incident has raised growing fears and frustration among families in Ngcobo Village.

Official Response
Mayor Zangqa emphasized urgency and stronger coordination among all involved.
“We must bring Linamandla home. We call on the public to help us with any information,” said Mayor Zangqa.
The Department of Social Development will support the family, learners, and school staff emotionally during this distressing period.
