South Africa’s very own Mrs Bold 2024, Cynthia Dumakude, is set to represent the African continent at the Transcontinental Pageant Finals in the United States from 13 to 19 October 2025 — a global celebration of leadership, empowerment, and the beauty of making a difference.
Crowned Mrs Bold in October 2024, Cynthia’s reign has been defined by compassion and purpose. From humble beginnings in a rural community to the international stage, her story is one of resilience and service.
What Happened
Over the past year, Cynthia has spearheaded several community outreach projects through her Bold Impact Initiative, each aimed at uplifting vulnerable groups and restoring dignity to those in need. Her humanitarian work includes:
- School Shoes Campaign: Donated over 1,000 pairs of school shoes to learners in need.
- Dignity Drive: Supplied sanitary pads and self-care products to young girls.
- Winter Warmth Drive: Distributed blankets and clothing to underprivileged families.
- Easter Drive: Shared Easter treats with children in disadvantaged communities.
- Wheels of Hope Campaign: Collected and donated wheelchairs to those living with disabilities.
For Cynthia, the upcoming pageant is more than a competition — it’s a platform to inspire others.
“This is more than just about me,” she said. “It’s about carrying the dreams of women, mothers, and young girls across Africa who dare to believe that their background does not define their future.”
Beyond the Crown: A Mission with Purpose
The Transcontinental Pageant (TCP Universe) is more than a beauty platform. Its heart lies in the Pledge Campaign Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that empowers pageant titleholders to become ambassadors against domestic violence and abuse.
Through the Foundation’s flagship programmes — His Pledge, Her Pledge, Kids Pledge, and Pet Pledge — women like Cynthia champion causes that touch communities globally:
- His Pledge encourages men to stand up and speak out for women and children affected by violence.
- Her Pledge inspires women to recognise their worth and set higher standards for love and safety.
- Kids Pledge teaches children to use kind words and build empathy from a young age.
- Pet Pledge promotes compassion and care for animals, extending the principle of kindness to all living beings.
Community Impact
Each delegate in the TCP Universe system participates in global community service projects, fundraising campaigns, and advocacy events. Titleholders dedicate their reigns to monthly awareness drives that amplify the message: “A world free of violence starts with one pledge.”
For Cynthia, representing Africa at this level is not only an honour but a call to action.
