The Alfred Nzo District Municipality (ANDM) will host an Arbor Day celebration on 23 September 2025, at Siphundu village in eMaxesibeni under Umzimvubu Local Municipality. The event, starting at 10:00 AM, forms part of the national “One Million Trees” campaign and the Presidential Ten Million Trees Flagship Project.

WHAT HAPPENED

The Arbor Day programme will focus on planting the Trees of the Year: the White Milkwood (Sideroxylon inerme) and the Red Milkwood (Mimusops caffra). Community leaders, learners, and municipal officials are expected to participate in the tree planting.
