The joint operation targeted a house where illegal pharmaceutical sales were taking place. Authorities discovered various unlicensed medicines, including antibiotics, being sold in contravention of Section 22A of the Medicines and Related Substances Act (Act 101 of 1965).

A pharmacist from the Department of Health was present during the raid to inspect and verify the seized medicines. Following confirmation that the products were being sold illegally, the suspect was charged with the unlawful sale of medication.

Officials have urged the public to report any individuals or shops engaged in similar activities, warning that the sale of medicines without proper documentation poses serious risks to community health and safety.
