  • Internal Struggles Among Political Parties: The Democratic Alliance admits to disagreements with the African National Congress over economic recovery strategies, reflecting political discord that impacts economic stability.

ActionSA has expressed alarm over the latest job figures showing that 140,000 more South Africans became unemployed between April and June 2025, bringing the year’s total increase to almost 350,000 job losses.

The party blames the Government of National Unity (GNU) for failing to provide economic direction, accusing it of being consumed by internal disputes instead of tackling the country’s growing unemployment crisis.
At a press conference on Thursday, the Democratic Alliance (DA) admitted to being at odds with its coalition partner, the African National Congress (ANC), on nearly every element of their economic recovery plan.

ActionSA MP Alan Beesley said the divisions have left the economy “rudderless,” warning that the lack of coherent leadership is worsening the economic downturn and eroding public confidence.

The party called for urgent, unified action to address the jobs crisis, insisting that political disagreements must not stand in the way of measures to stimulate growth and protect livelihoods.
