The South African Youth Council (Winnie Mdikizela-Mandela local Municipality) leadership induction workshop took place on the 17-18 of January 2022 at Hluma Lodge.
South African Youth Council chairperson Xolani Malunga said, they had hoped for the induction to take place in the presence of the youth because they are the representatives of the youth and they have the mandate to make sure that the government delivers to the youth.
Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality Mayor: Honourable Mafumbatha Was present in the leadership induction workshop, to welcome the new structure into office, she said, she encourages the youth to take part in such programs she also encourages the youth to come up with innovative concepts that could help re-claim the economy.
The SAYCL recognised some of the active members of the youth in Bizana by awarding them with Certificates of appreciation.
Nkokheli Twabu received a certificate of appreciation. he shared his remarks on receiving the certificate: he said it is a big thing for him to be awarded with the certificate it shows that people are watching and they appreciate the effort he has been putting out. He continued to say that, even though it is an individual accolade but it comes out of serving the people.

Another youth leader who received recognition on the induction was Siyabonga Mdwayidwayi he Also received a certificate of appreciation from the SAYCL.
He said that he appreciates the recognition, he alluded that he is grateful to The Winnie Madikizela Mandela local municipality for the support he has been receiving, he added that when they do these youth programs they never take into account that there are people watching.
