The Port St Johns Local Municipality recently organized and hosted the Annual Two-Day Mayoral Cup Tournament, which took place at the Old Military Base Camp Sportfield and Port St Johns Sportfield. The event saw a total of 13 football clubs and 18 netball clubs participating in the tournament.

In a departure from previous years, where participants received prizes including team kits, this year’s tournament saw each club that emerged as number one on ward level receiving prizes. The top football team will receive a prize of R10,000, while the leading netball team will take home R6,000.
