The Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, MEC Zolile Williams has urged the mayor to act quickly in responding to service delivery issues.

This follows the Provincial Political Intergovernmental Forum session held in East London on Monday.

The platform was used to address service delivery issues facing the local state and other spheres of government.

MEC Williams says people should not complain over services as they are going towards 2024, municipal managers and mayors need to devise an analysis of how to deliver better services to the communities.

He further emphasised the importance of reliable communication with citizens during service delivery interruptions.
