Disney +, the streaming service from The Walt Disney Company is now available in South Africa. Disney + was officially launched Wednesday at the Kyalami racetrack in Johannesburg and has confirmed launch dates for 41 countries and 10 new territories that is set to launch this winter. This was their first media and launch event in South Africa, and the standard pricing at the launch is confirmed to cost R119 p.m. or R1 190 for an annual subscription.

Subscribers will have access to original Disney content such as Star Wars’ The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian from executive producer and writer Jon Favreau. The entire Skywalker saga will be available on Disney+.

Subscribers will also be able to enjoy Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award-nominated Luca, Walt Disney Animation Studios Academy-winning Encanto- which tells the tale of an extraordinary family called the Madrigals, and Academy Award-winning Cruella starring Emma Stone as the legendary Cruella de Vil.

Disney + is also available to DStv subscribers via the Explora Ultra. Subcribers who bundle their streaming service to their existing DStv subscription will receive a R49 discount overall fee.
