Strengthening Road Infrastructure Partnerships 🚧 The Eastern Cape Department of Transport, led by MEC Xolile Nqatha and HOD Andile Fani, met with SANRAL Board Chair Themba Mhambi, Acting DDG Monde Manga, and key officials in Schornville, Qonce, met to align on solutions for the province’s road infrastructure challenges. The meeting focused on building stronger partnerships, addressing the province’s road maintenance backlog, and accelerating key projects. “Our roads are the backbone of the Eastern Cape economy. While challenges exist, there are opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and growth,” said MEC Nqatha. SANRAL Chairperson Themba Mhambi reaffirmed the agency’s commitment: “By working hand in hand with the provincial government, we can deliver world-class infrastructure that not only connects communities but drives sustainable development.” With a clear spirit of collaboration, the entities are turning obstacles into opportunities and laying the foundations for an efficient, safe, sustainable, affordable, and connected road network system.
