Walter Sisulu University (WSU) has suspended all operations following the fatal shooting of a student during a protest on its Mthatha campus on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, a security guard discharged a firearm after protesters allegedly set a vehicle ablaze near student accommodation. The identity of the deceased student has not been released, and the motive behind the protest remains unclear.
