Peace Makers FC head coach Mlu Debe expressed satisfaction with his squad’s effort. He stated that the main purpose of the match was to evaluate new players ahead of the Nedbank League campaign. “This was a friendly game, so I cannot put too much focus on the result. What mattered was to see our strengths and weaknesses as a team. I am happy with how the boys responded,” Debe said.

Mthamvuna FC coach Mangaliso Fica admitted his side still has a lot of work to do, especially in terms of fitness. “The players are not yet where I want them to be. We conceded because of mistakes linked to poor conditioning. My defence and central players must improve, but I remain hopeful,” he explained.

Peace Makers captain Thandekile Nothimba praised his teammates for their discipline and composure. He also had a message for their supporters: “We are thankful for the love from our fans. Please continue to support us, we promise to make you proud.”
