All provinces are represented in the tournament that is currently running from the 6th to the 10th of December 2022. The department of correctional services male national team is also part of this netball tournament.
The DCS netball team is made up of 3 players, namely, Teboho Booi, Phezile Gamede and Andile “Jazzman” Cekiso. These players are from the Ebongweni Super Closed Maximum Correctional centre in the Kokstad Management area.
According to one of the players, Phezile Gamede, competition was very tough. They played 5 games and out of the games played, they won 2 and lost 3.
Gamede said, “We will never cease learning and this is indeed a learning curve for us and we will implement what we learnt from this urnament for the betterment of our performance in the near future “.
