The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has officially released the grant payment schedule for July 2024, providing much-needed clarity to millions of South Africans relying on state assistance.
As per SASSA’s latest announcement, the grant payments will be made as follows:
- Older Persons Grants: From Tuesday, 2 July 2024
(Including any grants linked to these accounts) - Disability Grants: From Wednesday, 3 July 2024
(Including any grants linked to these accounts) - Children’s Grants: From Thursday, 4 July 2024
SASSA reminded beneficiaries that there is no need to rush to withdraw funds on the first day. Once deposited, the money will remain in the account until the recipient decides to access it.

SASSA encourages all grant beneficiaries to stay informed through official platforms such as the SASSA News Facebook page, the official WhatsApp Channel (@SASSA_OFFICIAL), or the toll-free hotline 0800 60 10 11.
