The Association of Independent Publishers (AIP) and Google have unveiled the Digital News Transformation Fund (DNTF), a groundbreaking initiative to support independent journalism in South Africa. The fund, valued at R114 million, marks the largest financial commitment ever made to the country’s grassroots and community media sectors.
