As we are on the last day of Women’s month we chat with a young lady, who had to deal with being a victim of Gender Based violence, and decided to boss up.
The Young, bubbly, stylish and fashion-forward make-up artist Ncebakazi Pepeta from Bizana and Port Edward takes us on a journey of doing better for ourselves and by ourselves. Ncebakazi is a self-taught make-up artist and founder of an online beauty Store called Femme-Crown. she holds a Higher Certificate in business studies and a diploma in Economics, she says both qualifications contribute Immensely to her business.
“I grew up in a very abusive environment, I was abused as a child at some point I hated my body because I blamed it for putting me through what I went through. I had to fight through accepting myself, fight through accepting my body after being abused, fight through being confused and not having a direction of what I want in life” Ncebakazi Says.
Ncebakazi says women must not be confined by the dreadful conditions they find themselves in because being a victim of abuse is never your fault, she adds that women must use all the negative energy that hinders joy to step up and become a better person. The lovely entrepreneur says perpetrators of violence act according to who they are it is never the victims’ fault.
Discovering the tools to help shape our destiny– Ncebakazi segments what ideas, actions and affirmations helped her be the powerful force she is today and going forward “For me to be where I am, I only depend on me, not even my own mother can help me become the person I want to be in life” The elegant business lady stresses that as an individual you first need to be clear about what you want in life.
- Invest in your thoughts
- Invest in becoming a better person
- Change your mindset
- Make sure that you take care of your inner peace everything flows from within
Adding to these pointers Ncebakazi says once an individual is clear about who she wants to be it becomes easier to work on improving herself. She elaborates that Having a clear vision of who you help you decide on what is for you and what is not and you turn to make a better decision about your future.
Who we become is up to us- The Feeme-Crown founder says it is important to self-introspect and understand what your values and principles are before you make decisions. Your decisions should not be based on emotions rather use logic and be more clear about the next step. She adds that it is important to look at factors that shape your sphere of influence.
Ncebakazi says she could have used a lot of things as excuses for not being progressive in life but she chose self-elevation all the time.
