MEC Mvoko visits women cooperatives in Mount Ayliff, Alfred Nzo
The Finance, Economic Development, Environmental and Tourism MEC, Mr. Mlungisi Mvoko is in O.R. Tambo district today to engage municipalities on Municipal Infrastructure Grant Performance and the state of municipalities in the district.

MEC responsible for the Eastern Cape Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEDEAT)  will be visiting two agricultural cooperatives funded by his department.

During this visit, MEC Mvoko will observe the cooperatives’ operations firsthand, engage in discussions about their work and discuss various opportunities and challenges they encounter. MEC Mvoko will be joined by district and local authorities, led by their respective Mayors.

According to a press release by the department,

MEC Mvoko’s visit demonstrates the department’s commitment to supporting local enterprises and initiatives that contribute to economic growth and the empowerment of women.
