MDANTSANE TAXI RANK LEAVES FOUR MEN DEAD

Four men lost their lives in Mdantsane taxi violence on Wednesday. A shooting took place in the Uncedo Service Taxi Association headquarters next to the M&K building in Qumza highway, Mdantsane East London.

The claims state that he entered the offices, where there were other employees present, and started shooting randomly. He shot two taxi businessmen and an exchange of bullets occurred between him and the men who were at the office which led to the shooting of an innocent bystander who was out to get water from a nearby premises.

One of the dead was a suspected shooter who is accused of breaking into the local taxi organization’s offices and killing two individuals inside. Four people were shot: the hitman who opened fire, a bystander who  unfortunately caught fire when the hitman and the employees at the Uncedo premises exchanged bullets and the two taxi businessmen shot by the hitman.

This is the second taxi shootout in Mdantsane in less than a year. the shootout that took place this year the 16th of  May 2022 left six people injured and one dead.

It is still uncertain if the hitman was operating alone when the incident occurred. Authorities are still searching for leads even though there are still speculated possibilities about what caused the shooting.
