Mayor T.D. Mafumbatha of the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality, attended the TACT Annual Thanksgiving Ceremony on 30 November 2025 at the Embhanoyini Open Fields. The gathering brought together church leaders, congregants and local government representatives to celebrate unity and spiritual strength.
What Happened
Mayor Mafumbatha joined the service as the first citizen of the municipality. She praised the Twelve Apostles Church in Trinity (TACT) for its long-standing work in community building, spiritual support and moral leadership.
“It was an honour to join TACT for this year’s Thanksgiving Ceremony. This gathering reflects the strength and spiritual resilience of our community. As the Municipality, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that uplift our people and promote social cohesion,” she said.
She also thanked church leaders, congregants and partners who contributed to the success of the day.
District Leadership Presence
The Alfred Nzo District Municipality Mayor V. Mhlelembana, attended the ceremony as well. He said the role of faith-based organisations in promoting unity, moral guidance and development across the district.
He said churches continue to strengthen families, reduce social challenges and create safe environments for young people.
