Three Mzamba taxi owners who have been shot dead on Thursday are expected to be laid to rest on 3, 4 and 5 June 2022 respectively. This comes after the taxi owners were shot by an unknown man Kwa-Bulala, Mbizana.

According to Mzamba Taxi Owners Association Chairperson, Simphiwe Msulelwa, these men were standing  by the road waiting to start a trip  when an unknown man showed up and poured a rain of ammunition, killing three men at the same time.

“I was called by one of our members at about 6h00 and was told  that there hasa been a shooting”. Said Msulelwa.

“I then rushed to the scene and found three bodies lying in the pool of blood” He added.

Msulelwa says he had to report the incident to the regional structure in efforts to meet with the taxi associations to resolve the matter that might be the cause of this incident. Pondoland Times reached the family of Xolani  Ndzimande, one of the slain taxi boss. Ndzimande’s sister, Jabu Ndzimande expressed their pain on the passing of her brother.

“We have lost a brother and a family man. Passing of my brother left us in deep pain as he was very helpful in the family” she said
